Purple Sage is sutiated in the heart of historic Penrith, placed just off the town centre opposite the giants grave and the magnificent church of St. Andrew.

Purple Sage is a lovely 300 year old grade II listed building, with low beamed ceilings, uneven walls and a open log fire in the downstairs Bar/Lounge area.

Run by Husband and Wife team Martin and Jan Strand and a team of dedicated staff, we offer a warm welcome, excellent service and a full tummy! The food is traditionally English with a modern twist, using locally sourced produce and much of our own allotment grown produce.

Lunch time, you can pop in for a simple soup or sandwich or choose from one of our seasonal main meals with a glass of wine or simply call in just for a coffee served in the downstairs bar area.

In the evenings relax in the downstairs lounge bar and enjoy a pre dinner drink as you peruse the menu at leisure, then be escorted to your table in the upstairs dining room.
